The Walter

Dr. Walter Hill has spent a lot of time thinking about sweet potatoes – in fact he has even studied ways astronauts can eat sweet potatoes in outer space. Following in the footsteps of his hero George Washington Carver, Dr. Hill came to Alabama with his family to work at Tuskegee University. The Walter tells the story of the agricultural engineer and professor, who knew even as a child he wanted to be a scientist who studied plants. Whether during his days as a newsboy, basketball player, high school teacher, or international researcher, Walter always found that kindness sharing the work and credit with others was key.
